Kookaburra Statewide Twenty20 Cup

The Kookaburra Statewide Twenty20 Cup is an initiative of Cricket Victoria and its affiliate bodies, the Victorian Metropolitan Cricket Union (VMCU) and the Victorian Country Cricket League (VCCL), providing Victorian grassroots cricketers with the opportunity to participate in the growing phenomenon of Twenty20 cricket through a regionally based competition. All 16 regions throughout Victoria will select a club to represent the region in a knockout competition that will ultimately pit the best of country Victoria against the best of metropolitan Melbourne in the final on the hallowed turf of the MCG.

While the Kookaburra Statewide Twenty20 Cup provides an opportunity for some of the state’s best grassroots clubs and their cricketers to ply their skills on a wider stage, the competition also provides clubs with events with which to attract, excite and promote themselves in their local communities to showcase the benefits of both active and social participation within our cricket clubs for families.
